List of Members Waiting for Their MacBook Air to Ship (European market only)

Still stuck in Arnhem 🙁

You would think that they had a lot of flights to the UK.

Do they bring it in anywhere close to London? Will they deliver directly from there? If so, I would think that I should get it tomorrow.

Like I say what happens now is the major sort.

They work out which airport depot your order has to go to in order for them to hand it to the correct courier in the area that delivers.

So it just depends on how quick they sort, and when the flight is. If it doesn't make it to the correct plane on time, your parcel is left waiting maybe another 24 hours until the next dispatch.

All those UK orders will be filing themselves onto the correct planes, whether it be birmingham / manchester / london / cardiff / glasgow etc... and then once they arrive at the suitable airport, they are then re-sorted once more into paticular area and the delivery agent collects them and either takes them to a central sorting zone in your city or big town.

If you have a small town / village then its possible the courier will collect from airport and deliver from there, that's what happens to me - it's delivered to the Shannon Airport depot and then TNT deliver the goods out of there, but I'm in a very rural county....

There's a lot more to 'logistics' than just merely get on a plane at one end, and off at the other 😉

I would imagine it will probably be Thursday unless they are super slow at arnhem (and I have had a macbook hang around 4 days in arnhem before - possibly flight cancel due to weather or something)...

Keep your fingers crossed, I feel your agony... but at least your doesn't have to go into UK and then back out again like mine 😉

Anybody knows, who exactly change the status in Apple Status Pages ?

I mean the MBA is manufactured in some factory in China right? then when its ready somebody there connected to Apple network do it or what?
 
Id like to know where my tracking number is... Is this emailed later on by the shipping company?

Any of the newly shipped got tracking info? I tried with the 271197XXXXX number below the status (set in grey) but TNT doesn't know that number.

Did you drop the last 2 numbers from the 27etc? From other posts made, I think that's what you need to do and then you'll find it on the TNT site.

Yes, I tried that, still no info thought. Maybe they don't have the data before the truck gets to the depot.

The US store at https://store.apple.com/Apple/WebObjects/OrderStatus? actually has a better interface. If you use the Order#/Zip login option, it actually says shipped via TNT, shipping #: XXXXXXXX

OK, there it is. Yes, you have to drop the last 2 digits. Apple says delivery on or before the 11th, lets hope for friday 🙂

Works here also now. It say the latest the 13th here, atleast one day earlier then before. To bad I got a test I should study to the 14th 😉
