In your blog, you said: "Alas, no °F in the choices."

After you type in the degree sign, switch to the alphabet mode in the Japanese keyboard, and type in an F. The selection box should change to show a "°F" among the choices. Select that, and next time you type the degree sign, "°F" should show up without your having to type the "F."

Thanks for the tip. That's an awful lot of work, however, just for one symbol. I guess if you really need it, though.

You only have to do it once, though. Once you turn the Japanese keyboard on, next time you want to type the degree symbol, you just press the "globe" button on the keyboard until the Japanese keyboard comes up.

If you go to the number keypad on your iPhone and then press and hold 0, the degree symbol, ° should pop up as an alternative option. No need for Japanese keyboards.

Simple Solution

Just press and hold the number 0 key. :)
