Desktop is a bit messy at the moment.

Depends on where you live to justify it February/March.

My vote is for this one to be crowned Kind of March Desktops Threads.

That's a neat background. We just finished an impressionist project in my graphic design class and we had to use a technique similar to that.

What do you mean?

Nothing special but it certainly works for me. Same on my 24inch iMac as it is on this macbook.
