Hi,
Ive been reading up on Ruby and now i want to learn Ruby on Rails. Any suggestions on how i should get started with it? Which books to refer to? Any specific installations i need to make inorder to work with it?
Thanks.

I think the recommended book is Agile Web Development with Rails, which is now in its 2nd edition.

+1. Agile Web Development with Rails is great. I use(d) it and really love it.

I agree that book was really good. However it was written for Rails 1.x, not 2.x. So a number of things have changed. I would recommend it but be aware that not everything works the same.
