Hi.

I have the original 8GB Edge iPhone.

I dropped my iPhone twice and broke the screen recently. I am paying o2's £7.49 monthly insurance. With the new iPhone due for release soon, should I wait until then to make a claim or am I going to get the older model regardless?

Many thanks.

I would bet that you will get a 2G iPhone in replacement. Probably a reconditioned one at that. Especially as the 3G version is going to be sold out for a little while it seems.

Good luck though!!

you'll get the old - they'll have loads lying around

you may get the option to pay a small 'fee' and upgrade and sign up to a new contract

o2 phoned me today to say they will be sending me a new 3G iPhone as replacement, as they have no 2G phones.

Tomorrow I will be going into the o2 store and upgrading to a 3G model for free on my £45 p/m contract.

Two iPhones!
