When I compress folders I have two different Macs that won't open them. I get an error message. It's not the same file either. When I compress them i try opening them on both computers and it wont work. I've compressed random files just to see and sometimes I still get the issue the error message is

"Unable to unarchive (file name) Error 1 - Operation not permitted."

I don't have anything locked and I'm on my master accounts.. They are very important files i have no idea why all of a sudden my macs wont open them. Ive also tried with opening with stuff it. The files opened fine when i originally compressed them originally a few weeks ago because i always test them (unectract) before i delete the original file.

I would try them on a different system, maybe even a windows box. Sounds like the archives might be corrupted :(
