--> SHOULD I BUY ONE MACBOOK PRO?
**** i'm so unsure. :(

To add my tuppence: my "ideal" iMac design is the initial user-serviceable iMac G5, and my ideal iPod design is the similarly-edged Nano 1st gen. The Macbook is also Doing It Right, with user-replaceable battery, hard drive and memory, and easy opening to the rest.

So, while you won't, SJ please consider that your current direction makes it very difficult to create easy-to-hold, easy-to-service, easy-on-the-eye systems. I held a Nano 4g yesterday and it was, to my eyes, hideous. It looks and feels like a TV remote for a designer kitchen, one of those exposed-metal-everywhere set-ups that evoke anything but life.

I'd like more "human" designs too... or a return to the translucent Dual-USB iBook design. I just loved seeing the innards of my computer. :D

I don't like the iMac-like bezel around the supposed new design: I thought Apple wanted the bezel to be the least distracting part of the display. If it's gonna be black, the whole bezel/top cover should be glossy black (I could still see some gray aluminum around the bezel) so it could do that border-less look HP have been doing recently.

I like the glass touch-pad/screen (a la Art Lebedev LED keyboard) from the previous fake rendition of the new MBP. Opens up a myriad of possibilities for more UI innovations.

Hey Guys, just saw the news :D It was me who did this image, I posted it at the MacRumors Forums a long time ago. Seems like T Systems needed some more visitors on their site. Here's the link to my post xD:

And here's the big resolution image :D -> http://img144.imageshack.us/img144/1848/macbookprosr0.jpg

Have Fun :p

Hmmm the differences with the one from April are noticable.
This one looks quite real in my opinion.
But if you look close you see it's photoshopped. If you look an inch left from the DVD-slot, you can see a change in thickness of the border.

Oh God I hope not, or I'll never get a new MBP again. One of my higher up reasons for a MBP over MB was to avoid that HORRIBLE keyboard and glossy screen. I can't stand either of those in the least.

I loathe that keyboard design with a passion. I'm very particular about my keyboards...
That's funny, because I'd never get a MBP because of it's current keyboard. I find the MacBooks keyboard much nicer to type on.

E-Mail to Support

Guten Tag.
Seit einigen Tagen ist auf einigen Macintosh Newsseiten ein Bild des angeblichen neuen Macbook Pros zu sehen, das auf ihrer seite gefunden wurde:

http://www.it-shop.t-systems.de/tsy...l?_n_=catalog&_t_=factsheet1&articleid=294426

Können Sie uns mitteilen, ob das bild echt das neue macbook pro ist, dass in ein paar wochen angekündigt wird, oder ist es ein falsches bild?

Genug menschen reissen sich die haare aus und streiten um die echtheit des bildes ;)

also bitte geben Sie uns bescheid.

Ich danke für eine Antwort.

Gruss

Sorry for my poor english trans. but you understand it surely.

--> Ergo. It's a fake picture wrong placed.

Ya but if you read all the way to comment 140 you'd see that its very close but not the same image or (alleged) computer. :p

I think one just looks like a 17 incher whereas the other is a 15 incher. If you look at present day macbook pros the super drives are in different positions for the 17 and 15 inchers, this could explain why people perceive them to be different and one to be stretched further?

I knew I saw this image a while back on this forum.

You can also tell at the rounded corners of the monitor at the top corners.(not the outside) There are some stray pixels.

Of course it's fake. If you look at MacBook, there is an indent for user to open the lid. Duh!

Also, Apple has been using neutral gray for their professional products for years and probably won't deviate for awhile.
