iPod warranty question.

I have bought this Ipod from someone who was not honest about the warranty which was my mistake to be honest. anyhow he said it'll be expired by April and now that i checked the date it said expiry on Nov 22nd. i was wondering if u guys think it worth it to go and buy the apple protection which is 2 years from the date of purchase meaning im left with almost 1 year only for $69 plus tax Canadian. the ipod is perfectly working only im worried something would develop in the future.

lol i bought the whole thing for $200 used.
