I recently got a macbook and decided I needed some more screen real estate. I have an old linux laptop that I had been using before I upgraded. 500 mhz and integrated graphics card. So not alot of power in it. What I want to be able to do is to have my desktop extended onto the screen of the linux laptop. I've seen things like this before as in MaxiVista. But that particular program is windows only, though the client runs well under wine. I have seen mac based programs that do this also, but non had linux compatibility. So are there any programs out there that can make a virtual screen on mac and linux?

If not, I had better get started coding...
