Macbook Pro 17" -- Screen Not Turning On

Ive had this same problem !
only started happening recently

Hard reset doesnt fix problem =[

Yeah your GPU is DEAD. I've had 2 die now...

If you live close to a Mac Store, and are still under warranty, I'd take it in. If you aren't near a Mac Store, and still under warranty, call it in and your AppleCare Agent will get take care of you.

could be a dead GPU. even if it is out of warranty, take it to an apple store or a service center. They should be able to tell. GPU problems are covered for an extra year after purchase.
