Great Googly Moogly! This should've been version "2.0".

It even has "player cards" with tons of stats. Just click on any player's name.

No. Next year, we have to buy next years app. Each MLB app is only good for that year. That's what I read anyway when I bought the app.

I know the description says it's good for the remainder of the year but I thought that there was potentially a chance that it would still be good. Guess that's too nice of MLB.

What an incredible update. It didn't show for me in the updates, but I just deleted the app from my screen and re-downloaded to get it.

This is how it should have been in the beginning. (And if it didn't improve to this level I definitely would not have purchased the app for next season.)

I believe the updated version for the 2009 season will have gameday audio

It will not be 'updated' (in the traditional sense) for the 09'-10' season. You will have to purchase it again.

I know this. I meant the new version (I consider it an update that you have to pay for)

Just wanted to mention it, you know how some of the people around here are. They'll dig up this thread and complain because they had to rebuy the app after someone saying the word 'upgrade'.

The 2009 version of MLB.com At Bat, available on April 2nd, will support Gameday Audio. It is not known if a separate subscription ($14.95) will be required. There are no blackout restrictions on audio. :)

I am hopeful that this is indeed true. Where did you get this definitive information?

Very cool .... this is a must for any serious baseball fan and/or fantasy baseball player ... MLB has done an excellent job with this app.

Yes, I have been waiting for Game Day Audio! A perfect use of the iPhone on the road. There are times I cannot get a reliable AM/FM station during a Red Sox broadcast, so this will be awesome.

It's too bad I have to purchase it again considering I only used the current version for half the season.

Will the old one work in the 2009 season, or must one purchase the update?

Wow, that's great that they are adding game day audio. The only thing that worries me is the price now, audio is usually a subscription on mlb.com
