In 3.0, you will be able to tether. Whether or not AT&T will allow it or charge for it is another question, but all signs point to not having to jailbreak to tether come "summer" time.
I still think a bunch of people are going to be jailbreaking to tether when they see at&t's rates. If its <$10 to tether, I'm in. Otherwise, no. I can just see at&t charging $50 a month for it.
What do they charge to tether a blackberry?
Well how much do they charge for the 3G usb thing? If its less than that, then anyone with an iPhone and who travels would be smart to pay for tethering... but I too hope that they only charge $5-10, but I extremely doubt that will happen.

awe, I was hoping that transparency would make it into the final build, but I can see how it was completely unnecessary. And it's nice that they made the icons look a little more consistent across the board.

Wait do you have any before and after shots of this? What was the transparency?

Yeah, and they used the same layer style on the Phone glyph as well. Consistency FTW!

EDIT: I was just comparing the 2 screenshots and the iPod icon is sitting too high. The icon is 1 pixel higher than the rest of the icons. Look at it, you can see how it's misaligned with the rest.

I know 3.0b1 was not really matured enough to use as your main phone, how many of you think 3.0b2 is? Have most of the bugs that one would encounter during normal use been worked out?
