Nice vacation spot: British Columbia.

Driving from Vancouver to Revelstoke to Kamloops to Banff to Calgary -- simply cannot be beat.

The people are delicious when cooked medium rare, preferably with fresh herbs rubbed into the meat. :D

Depends where out West. Vancouver and the surrounding area enjoy a more moderate climate due to being located in a temperate rain forest, a climate enjoyed by Seattle as well. In other western locations like Alberta, it can get as cold as a witch's tit.

I live in Canada, and we're too nice. Its getting to the point where accommodating the minority is a serious inconvenience for the majority

As an American (I live in Arkansas, btw), I think Canada should be invaded ASAP. Too many natural resources in the hands of funny-talkin', French-lovin' weirdos.

Seriously, I think it's a fine country. It certainly is beautiful. I wouldn't mind living there if immigration wasn't such a pain...

Hey. They gave us RUSH. :D And a good deal of other good music.

I grew up in Detroit area and crossed the bridge/tunnel often (before Detroit got their own casinos, mainly), but have only gone places other than Windsor a couple of times. Had a good time.

My sister has spent plenty of time with a couple of families in CN, and she loved it every time she went.

Some of the politician's attitudes towards the US I'm not fond of, but overall I'd say they're OK. :cool:

From what I can tell, I think Canada has it pretty well together. It's a lovely place with lovely people. It's a shame about the weather and Celine Dion though.

I'm not Americanish but I quite like Canadians. We went out to Toronto a few years back and everyone was very pleasant.

I'm British so I guess I wasn't really asked the question, but I'd love to either live in or spend a long time in Canada some day. Ever since I was a kid I wanted to tour the US for a holiday but in the last year or so I've changed that to touring Canada. My great aunt and uncle moved there when they were young and so developed a really strange Oldham/Toronto accent :D

You kidding me, in Cornwall it was like -12 for 3 days straight.

So Cornwall is a border town and I hear mostly Canadians complain about Americans. Which is annoying because I'm both really. The local communities don't seem to mind the Canadian's being around, probably because they help support the economy so much. Until June that is.

Heh!

There's a fair share of ignorance, on both sides of the border. It's just human nature, every country has them. I don't think many Americans still picture igloos and eskimos, but there are probably unspoken assumptions. A friend of mine visited Ottawa from North Carolina, and she was genuinely surprised by how hot it was in July (granted that week was a heat wave with 85-95 degree weather).

I haven't formed much of an opinion on Canada my-self, from what I've heard you all are good people.

I guess I'll find out in July, Im going to Montreal with a group of friends, one of which has been there twice before. Should be fun!
