iPod touch 1year old iPod Touch not holding charge!

My iPod Touch 1g warranty has just finished, all of a sudden the batter with a full charge will only last 50mins - all I do is listen to Podcasts/Music withe the Wifi off!

How much will apple charge to replace the battery?

If your the adventurous sort (I am) you might want to save a little money and do it yourself. You can purchase a new battery and follow the guide on ifixit.com

Apple Care...You should have bought Apple Care. Hope things work out for you. You could always take it in and maybe out of the kindness of their hearts they will help you out with it. Don't expect it though.
