I am tryin to burn some MP3 CDs for my Car, I have a 2006 Mustang and it does allow me to play MP3 CDs in it.

However when i try and burn a CD using Itunes on My Macbook Pro, the Car Stereo says its a Bad Disc, and it has done this multiple times.

I checked the format that the CD was in, and it was in something called "Mac OS Extended" or something, so im assuming this is why its not playing in my car stereo, because its in that format and not Mp3.

Yes i Know i should use Audio CD Format, and i have used it in the past without a Hitch, but on some CDs that i make i want longer songs, and more songs ( I.E. Metallica 16 Tracks, long songs ) and the Audio Format Exceeds the 700MB on a CDR or CDRW.

So is there anyway to Burn the Songs onto a CD so that they will play in my Car Stereo, I want to make an Mp3 CD, not an Audio CD, Using my MacBook Preferebly.

Ive tryed using Toast Titanium, and just normal Folder Burning, and the CDs always go into the Mac OS Extended Format which doesn't play in my Car Stereo, or any Car Stereo i would imagin.

Please help me, i hope this isn't to confusing

I pretty much want to know how to Make Mp3 CD Formated CDs for my Car Stereo.

My Mac is only doin Mac OS Extended or w/e

Thank You in Advance

It seems you are formatting the disc as a Data CD instead of an MP3 CD. In Toast Titanium, under the disk type select Audio and then MP3 Disc from the submenu.

This is the process i got through....

(Using Itunes)
I open Itunes
Put in the CDR or CDRW Disc
Mac Prompts me to choose how to open the disc, i choose in Itunes
I open the Playlist i want to Burn
I click Burn Disc in the lower Right hand Corner
Itunes asks, What Format :

I am given the Choice of . Audio , Mp3, or Data Disc/Dvd

I Choose Mp3
Then Itunes write the Songs onto the CDR/CDRW
When the Disc is Done, I eject it
Go to my car, put the CD in My 2006 Ford Mustang (says plays mp3 cds)
And the stereo system says Bad Disc.

I check the Format of the Disc using the Get Info Option on my mac
The Format Says Mac OS Extended, Not Mp3

===============================================

(Using Toast Titanium 10)
I Open Toast Titanium
Go to Audio
Choose the Mp3 Option
Import My Itunes Play list to Toast by Dragging and Dropping
Tell Toast To Burn
It Burns and Verifies
I Eject the Disc
Go to my car, put the CD in My 2006 Ford Mustang (says plays mp3 cds)
Stereo Says Bad Disc And Rejects it

I check the Format of the Disc using the Get Info Option on my mac
The Format Says Mac OS Extended, Not Mp3

===============================================

Why is this? .... Im guessing something is wrong with preferences or something......

Please Help.... Or atleast tell me a Program that WILL Work

The Format Says Mac OS Extended, Not Mp3
Because Mac OS Extended (HFS+) is the filesystem format. MP3 is not a filesystem format.

It seems you're not doing anything wrong. Are you SURE your stereo plays MP3 CDs? It could also have a problem with the brand you're using or the type of disc (some stereo's might read CD-R, but not CD-RW). I would try some different discs if you have any.
