In the market to upgrade my monitor and am pretty stuck in terms of what to get. My only requirements are 24", 1920x1200 res, and under $300. Ive been looking at Dell, Samsung, and Acer but am definitely open for opnions on anything else. My workload mainly consists of graphic work but I ocassionally like to watch movies n such but am using a GeForce 4 Ti 4600 video card so no HD for me. Unless you consider 1920x1200 HD. Any help would be great.

One edit: Been looking at the Dell s2409w but its 1920x1080. Anyone know if my card will support it?

Well, for graphic work, 1900x1200, and under $300 is a little hard... There's the Dell 2209WA which is around your price range, 1680x1050, and acceptable for graphical work... And your graphic card generally supports anything up to the maximum resolution with the right outputs.

Appreciate the reply. I know im being a little greedy with the price range but im trying to be optimistic about it. Ill check out that Dell, though im really pushing for a 24" if at all possible. Thanks for the info about the card, ill probably be using the dvi out so hopefully ill be good with the res.

Purchase a used 23/24" WUXGA monitor (1920x1200) off your local craigslist or ebay. You will find more LCD monitors in your price range, even less for "cheaper" panels. I don't know how color-critical work your graphics are going to be so why not invest in a good quality monitor or are you just looking for screen realestate

kind of on the fence between good quality and real estate so im looking for a middle of the road. of course having the best of both worlds would be great but again, im being greedy.
