Here it is...please tell me about it...

thanks! a common complaint from original 13" mb alum owners is how bad the screen quality is (bad viewing angles, washed out blacks). this doesn't seem to be an issue for those who bought them in april/may (apple did some kind of silent update on the screens), but it's good to know that the model of the screen has changed entirely on the new 13" mbp.

The HDD currently isn't upgradable because of the larger battery that isn't removable, hence no access to the HDD. The 13' Aluminum macbook had a shorter lasting, removable battery, and removable HDD.

totally wrong. The ram and hd is still user replaceable since the latch panel is removed so the user will have to remove using screw drivers. The only thing that is not user replaceable is the battery and the guts of the computer.

Could we get a pic of the bottom off? I think I speak for everyone when I say that would be amazing to see :apple:

You'll probably have to wait and get your own to do that...I know when mine arrives Thursday I won't be removing the back!

Yeah, could you take those same side pictures with a dark/black background or while watching a dark movie?

Sorry for all my demands, but you asked for it when you posted this thread. :p

Yeah hold on- I have so much to do tonight but it looks like nothing will get done. One thing I don't like is how the keys get the finger oil marks...suck but whatever.

To The Reef: It sticks out about a a centimeter or really actually as far as the magsafe cord does (without the cord part- just the plug)

It looks better than the pictures

I took these in the dark and one with an extreme viewing angle and brightness all the way up...I think the camera just sucks...no bleed at all and very dark blacks. It was tough to tell where the screen started in the dark.

I unplugged the charger and it claims with bluetooth off and display at full brightness/keyboard- I have about 6 hours on battery but it keeps climbing after I unplugged it- not bad
