Hi, I got a new usb hard drive, and installed windows vista with bootcamp.
So i want to share files with my external hard drive without having to reformat the drive.
and i don't want macdrive
How do i partition my external hdd in MS-DOS (FAT) format on disk utility?:apple::apple::apple::apple::apple:

With the drive selected in Disk Utility, select the "Partition" tab. Next, set the drop-down menu under "Current" partition to "1 partition". Now, hit the "Options" button in the lower-left, and select the last option, and hit OK. After doing this, on the right side of the screen, you can set the format of the drive. Select "MS-DOS FAT".

Hit partition. And you're done.
