Hi I'm thinking of buying the new Mac Book Pro /w Anti-Glare, but I was wondering if anyone here owns the new one with the default HDD. And if so, how well does it perform in handling tasks using photoshop/illustrator/indesign..

I was thinking of buying it online and upgrading the HDD to 7200, but I want to buy it in person at the apple store and take it home the same day I purchase it! =) And they only carry the default 5400 HDD..

So for all you Graphic Designers out there who own a macbook pro, my question is how well does it perform when you open/save/render files using the regular HDD???

I find it to be fine for my needs and I use photoshop. It's not slow, it's a fantastic machine. Go and buy! :D

You'll be fine, it might make a marginal difference but its already a very speedy machine. Worst case scenario you can upgrade it/have it upgraded at a later date.
