Can anyone tell me how to make a pie chart in Excel 2008 that uses different styles of black and white cross hatching for each slice.

Its carefully hidden in Excel 2007 as a custom style, but I can't find a way of doing it in Excel 2008.

many thanks,

Graham

Don't think there is a simple way. However, you could create image files containing a variety of cross-hatching styles and apply different ones to each area of your chart - right click on each segment and select the appropriate image file. A bit of a faff for a one-off but not too crazy if you are going to be doing a few.

I only use a pie chart occasionally, and for something not that important, or I wouldn't be using a pie chart in the first place. So I don't want to spend any time on it.

The easiest way, for me, it seems is to do it in Excel 2007, unless someone else comes along with a solution.

Thanks,

Graham
