I use the Genius feature to listen to songs with similar beats per minute on my nano. Would like to organize my I-Tunes library by same standard. Can't find it in "preferences" or other pull down menus within the software. Your suggestions are appreciated. I've got version 9. Thank you.

Yes you can, but you'd probably need to input the BPM of each track yourself.

Right click on the Name/Artist/Album etc. bar at the top of your list of tracks. Click Beats Per Minute on the list then, once BPM is included in the header, click it to have the tracks sorted by BPM.

Want to organize by beat per minute

Oh God - I have 4000 songs..........sure wish I could find a way to do it all in one click! Thanks for your suggestion, but that would be impossible.

I'm pretty sure it's possible. First download a program like Tangerine and run it. It''ll analyze your entire library and add the BPM to each song it analyzes. This can get exported to iTunes, then you can sort iTunes via BPM.
