Hello,

I bought an iPhone 3GS for my 14yr-old son and set a "restrictions" password to prevent access to inappropriate material. He has now discovered the password and I need to change it. But there seems to be no way to do this without resetting the entire phone memory. This seems incredible!

Does anyone know of a way to change the password?

Regards
Donihue

Go back to the "Restrictions" settings (under the "General" settings) and first DISABLE restrictions. Then, re-enable them. It will ask you to type in a new passcode.

Restore your iPhone in iTunes. Be warned - you will lose all your data.

If losing all your data is not an option, then your only other solution is to remember your passcode.
