Canvas? Nice name but nor for this. The ipod slate isn't about content creation, it's about content consumption.

I hope it isnt a slab of nothingness.

Looks like an iPod Touch minus the home button. I think Apple would change the looks drastically to differentiate the product lines, similar to the MacBook vs. MBP.
