I recently bought and downloaded a movie from iTunes in M4v format. I wanted to extract the audio and chop it up into the specific songs from the musical, but I couldn't go to Garage Band or iMovie. Does anyone know how I might be able to get the audio? A method is fine, or a program (as long as it's free).

Thanks for any help in advance.

Videos bought from the iTMS are DRM-protected. You'll have to record the system audio as you play it to get it into editable format. Look into Soundflower and what it does.
