Hi all,

EDIT: I have solved this issue, I just manually created the 'swupd' folder in /private/var.

Wondering if you can help, my OS X 10.5 server is cycling the following error in system.log.

4/27/10 11:29:45 AM com.apple.launchd[1] (com.apple.swupdate.host[43831]) Exited with exit code: 1
4/27/10 11:29:45 AM com.apple.launchd[1] (com.apple.swupdate.host) Throttling respawn: Will start in 10 seconds
4/27/10 11:29:55 AM com.apple.launchd[1] (com.apple.swupdate.host[43835]) open("/var/log/swupd/swupd_error_log", ...): No such file or directory
4/27/10 11:29:55 AM com.apple.swupdate.host[43835] fopen: No such file or directory
4/27/10 11:29:55 AM com.apple.swupdate.host[43835] httpd-1.3: could not open error log file /private/var/log/swupd/swupd_error_log.
4/27/10 11:29:55 AM com.apple.launchd[1] (com.apple.swupdate.host[43835]) Exited with exit code: 1

The other issue I am having is trying to enable the Software update service, thats giving me the following error.

The service has encountered an error.
Try to refresh the view (OSXServer.local/Software Update.
Report the problem to the administrator if it persists. (CANNOT_START_SERVICE_ERR).

Could these two issues be related?
I'm fairly new to OS X Server, only been playing with it for about 3 weeks so any help really would be appreciated.

Thanks.
