how to show numbers in iphone contact list

Anyone knows how to make the numbers show up in your contacts without having to actually click on the name and going into the individual contact information page?

What are you trying to do? Most of the time you use the contact list by looking at the name and getting the number to call. Most of the time you don't know the number of the person you call but you know the person. Unless you have a number and want to try to check if it is on your list? One way to do it is call the number. In the call log, if it is in your list it will be replaced by a name.
