That was a bit tl;dr for me.

But I didn't see pr0n mentioned. aren't the terms vulgar or obscene maters of judgment, not fact?

Yes, and I have to doubt whether they'd really check. But if they did check, good luck arguing porn isn't vulgar (obscene is a stretch, depending on what you're in to).

I was under the impression that with the iPhone Gallery app you could just see anyones photos (password protected or not) by just entering their username and adding them to your friends list or whatever

I know i tried this out before (many months ago) and I was able to do it and I can't remember any upgrades to the iPhone Gallery app since then but maybe they fixed it on the other end..?

There were tons of comments in the app store feedback about this...

I'm too lazy to check right now

Well, thats the thing isn't it?

I don't think vanilla pr0n is vulgar or obscene.

I consider Anal fisting lesbian dwarfs to be vulgar, but not obscene. Yet an anal fisting lesbian dwarves fan would consider it to be neither vulgar or obscene.

It is all a matter of personal preference.

I know that Steve Jobs thinks he speaks for the world when he acts like a prude.

But calling w@nk fodder vulgar is stupid. Vulgar means lacking sophistication or good taste. I think anal fisting lezzer midgets tasteless, but an aficionado wouldn't.

For instance if I saw someone wearing a T-shirt saying "Jesus is a cnut" on it I would just laugh, yet some people might say it was vulgar i.e. lacking sophistication or good taste.

But obscene is even more difficult to pin down. It means the portrayal of sexual matters considered indecent or disgusting by accepted standards of morality or decency.

Well in Malawi they lock you up for 20 years for being gay. ARe they right? Any person with a brain and a sense of what is right would say no. Yet by their woefully wrong standards being gay is wrong.

That is why Jobs should stop pestering pornographers and let the market deal with such matters. Lets face it, if it sells and makes money enough people must consider it decent for it to be described as such.

lol. I thank you. Would you care for a prescription?

I have always enjoyed telling people that I am a doctor.
After listening to them tell me about their piles I tell them that I have a PHD in English.

Laughs all round.

I just wait for the day I am on an aeroplane and the intercom says "is there a doctor on board?"

Yes, would you like me to recommend a novel?
