Rocketing through the sky!
Apologies if this seems pedestrian or has been answered, I looked, though I am often poor at it.

I have an iPhone 3G running 4.0 still with the 04.26.08 baseband. I use ultrasnow for the unlock.

However, I no longer need it since I have an iPhone 4 and want to give it to my girlfriend. It desperately needs a reboot, it runs horrible, but I want to keep the baseband in case I ever want to use it again. For her to use it, however, no unlock is needed so I don't need it jailbroken.

Can I use official 4.1 firmware without touching the baseband?
