downgrade to 3.13. from 4.1(8b117) iphone 3g

since i updated the firmware..i havent been able to use some of the jailbroken apps.and has significantly slowed down my iphone 3g...

ive watched some youtube vids..and followed some of the instructions shown on the vids..but to the same result it says it cannot install..and therefore asks me to revert back to 4.1.


ive used methods of such..recboot...and then chose the file downloaded i.e 3.1.3 psw

any suggestions..?

Use TinyUmbrella or modify the hosts file and point iTunes at 3.1.3 IPSW.

And you can downgrade the firmware, but not the baseband, so I hope you don't need to unlock.
 
i restored to 3.1.3 from 4.1 fine.
just restored in itunes then used tinyumbrella to kick device out of recovery
 
as im understand what you guys mean..is there a step by step....?


as i have tried this a number of times...and from recboot is the same result...
 
I CAN ALSO TELL YOU THE ERRROR CODE I GET AFTER IT SAYS when install of 3.1.3 the code = (1015) if that helps anyone...!!
