my hard drive to the WD Scorpio Blue 750GB one and I'm about to cry :(

I just paid back my mom the other day for this 13" $999.99 laptop I got at Microcenter and I knew this was going to happen one day but I didn't want this to happen right now.

Whoever assembled my laptop screwed in the screws really tightly and I had the right screwdriver and while I was unscrewing the two middle tiny screws, my screwdriver slipped and now there's an 1/2 inch black scratch near one of them. I also scratched the aluminum near another screw but you can barely see it (a clear scratch I guess but you can feel the indent)

How do I buff the black line away? Is there a special silver aluminum paint I can buy or some type of polish?

Thank you!!!!!

I don't know about you, but I usually look at the screen and keyboard of my computer while I use it...

sounds like a job for a metallic sharpie

just got a scratch on mine the other day, it happens

I know it's on the bottom but still :(

So not even the black microfiber cloth will do anything?

I mean if you were really stressing on it, you might try like a clear coat of some sort used to help hide scratches on cars, but I'd be really careful because I can see that quickly just making it look messy.

If I were you, I'd think of that scratch like a scar... because those can be cool lol ;) Plus it's on the bottom!

if you knew that it was going to happen eventually, what's the difference between now and 2 years from now?

now that it' has a scratch the 2nd 3rd and 4th will be much more bearable.

I hate to quote fight club on this one, but i really get mildly annoyed by how OCD people are with their macs:

"The things you own end up owning you"

if it bothers you so much just order a new bottom cover and move on
