I have researched this a bit. One concern that I have and wonder if anyone has found a solution. Apparently, when connected to an external monitor, you cannot simultaneously see your presentation on the iPad?

Thanks

No you can't see it, just forward and back controls on the iPad screen. Don't know a way around it but wasn't a problem for me. I ran a presentation in an interview off my iPad a couple of weeks ago. Didn't get to use the iPad pointer feature, too in love with my green laser pointer.

I wish Apple would add the mirror feature so that you can see the same thing on your iPad as on the projector/external monitor.

That would be very handy.

The newest version of Keynote for the iPad 1.3 will show you the slide you are on.
