I've done some searching and I can't seem to find an application/plugin that would allow for silencing of certain websites. For example, I listen to music at work and home for a good portion of the while using my computer and some of the sites I visit have no audio or video content that I care for. What they have though is tons of ads full of sound. I'm desperate for an application that would allow me to silence the sounds from x website while leaving others that I intentionally want to listen to alone. Can anybody weigh in on this? I'm hoping for too much here? Thanks in advance.

Side note. I honestly think this about a $5-$15 app/plugin and could be a big deal.

As most of these ads are Flash related, you could use ClickToFlash to disable Flash.

A more descriptive and precise thread title will help cater to the right audience and get you more responses. (see rule #3 under Minor Problems)
To edit your thread title, just click on the

button on the bottom right of your original post and then click the "Go Advanced" button below your message.

Example: How to mute the sound of some ads in a browser?

Have you also taken a look at MRoogle, since that question may have been asked several times?

Example: "how to mute browser"
