Fell out of my pocket. Devastated. Never dropped my 3G once.

Scratched screen, speaker and mike no longer work.

How much will the Apple store charge to replace? It is a 32g

thats crazy, it shouldn't break after one drop. A week ago I dropped my iphone 4 on concrete and dropped it in the sink with running water all in one day. It still works perfectly fine. No case either. I have so many nicks and smalls scratches on it but I don't really care. Surprised yours F'd up after one drop.

Sorry to hear this. You will be able to replace it through Apple for $199.99.

$200 I think

Apple will Charge £146.50 for a repair/replacement via mail or £139.00 at an Apple store. I would make a Genius bar appointment. I've Just dropped mine and smashed the glass on the back. I think I'm in the same boat. Gutted mate.

If you hit it a certain way, sometimes all it takes is one drop. :(

I believe they charge just £25 or something to replace the back glass (correct me if I'm wrong) so if its only the back that's damaged, you're in luck.

Will it be a factory restored one I get? If so do they look new as in no scratches etc.?

I would think it would be a new one
Someone who has done this will be better able to answer though

Nope... It will be a refurbished device. ;)

Yes, it will be a refurb. And no, it shouldn't have any scratches on it.

Bit of good news. It's working again.

Just need a front glass, how much do they charge to replace the glass?

Apple charges $199 to replace the screen at the store.

I guess.... No phone or expensive tech product should break from one drop though.

Why is that? With the way things are build these days, unless it\'s made of tank like material, it can and often times does break from one drop the wrong way. It\'s unfortunate but true. That said, anyone who is afraid that something like this will happen to theirs is free to use a strong case like the Otter Box defender series. Heck, even a light protection case would at least save the phone from scratches.

Replacing the front glass would involve also replacing the screen due to them being bonded, and a very tricky disassembly job, so they just replace the whole phone on those, either way price would be the same. The back glass is a very easy to replace separate piece, hence the lower price.
