Reformat and fresh install

Will a fresh install of 10.6 benefit me? i haven't formatted since 10.6 came out

machine in question. 2.2 santa rosa whitebook 4 gigs of ram and a 320 5400rpm drive.

or should i pull the trigger on an SSD?
 
Did you upgrade from Leopard or did you perform a clean install? If you don't have an issue, then there isn't a reason to do a clean install
 
I have never felt the need for a fresh install

Many who come from a Windows background will still do it occasionally, but I don't think it is particularly beneficial unless you are experiencing specific issues

i formatted installed 10.5 then 10.6. no issue just sluggish.
