Need a bit more detail on your macbook pro, what ghz mainly? core 2, i5 or i7?

Presume no SSD.

But generally what the others have said.

I also feel that after using ONYX maintenance tool start up times can be slower, could just be me though.
 
2010 Macbook Pro 13" C2D with:

stock 5400rpm HDD: 35 seconds
WD Scorpio Black 7200rpm: 25 seconds
Kingston SSDNow V+ Series SNVP325-S2B/128GB: 15-16 seconds
