Automount DMG when external drive is plugged in?

I've got an 1tb drive that I've partitioned to have one for storage and one for Time Machine. On the storage partition, I've got a sparse DMG. What I'd like to do is have some way for every time I plug the external in for the DMG to be mounted so that I can put the PW in.

This sounds like something that some kind of service or automator action could do, but I'm not sure how to make that happen.

I'd appreciate any help anyone can give here!

I would think there is a way to make this happen using AppleScript and Folder Actions. Hopefully someone with more expertise in this area will chime in.

Probably can do this with Do Something When.

Thanks, that's what I was hoping to do. I don't want to install any extra software to make this happen.

Thanks, I looked at that. That might be the way to go with it. It's been a while since it's been updated, so I don't know how long it'll be effective.
