LA broke the heat record today!! Hotter than Vegas some said, but it's Fall!
It was hot everywhere, it was 108 at Irvine and all of Orange County, IE, SD counties and all of SoCal!

How hot was it? The National Weather Service's thermometer downtown reached 113 degrees for the first time since records began being kept in 1877 — and then stopped working. The record highs follow a summer of record lows.

Holy dog-crap, it was hell today. Yuck!
I hate the heat. I would've committed suicide if I had a gun and a bullet. :eek:

To think that just about a week and a half ago I said to someone, "Summer wasn't that bad this year." ...Boy, was I wrong. Spoke too soon. Actually this is the Fall, so I was technically right.

Ironically, you were here while I was in a TO, otherwise, a tour of the Crescent City would have been in order.

In any case, yes, it gets *very* humid here. In fact, seeing the humidity sensor at 100% isn't unusual, quite the contrary. I might even throw there a bonus, June-August are the worst possible months to come here.

108...poor you. The Phoenix area is so much hotter than that sometimes. I remember one day, to put it in perspective, America West had to ground their entire fleet, because the takeoff charts only went to 120, when the airfield temperature was 122. When it's that hot, I sit inside in the airconditioned house and use my computer. :)

Wow. I was in DC a couple of years ago in July. Looks like I'll be sure to visit NO in the spring or winter! :p

It was 113° here in Orange County yesterday. The rest of this summer it's been in the 70's. Crazy.
 
That's ********. I grew up in the SCV and we hit 115 before. I think I was living in canyon country at the time. Unless thermomter on the old bank was wrong.
Now 113 in SD is something to talk about.
 
Downin Anaheim playing... Damn it's too hot 115 in Disneyland yesterday. And they had a thermometer on grizzly river run, cast members said 120 on the deck!

I wonder how hot it got inside those people who dress up as Mickey mouse?!:eek:

Probably they have some sort of Gatorade tank in there! :D
 
The last couple of days have been crazy hot. It's letting up a little tomorrow.... Weather App says it's going to be 89F:rolleyes:

I like the heat but I love my AC more......:D
