Dear mac enthusiastic,

I am running snow leopard client. I have mysql installed individually, and it's working. I also have PHP working. I can be sure that PHP is working because I have dokuwiki working.

Now i want to have joomla on my snow leopard as well. I've downloaded it and extract the content, put in under my account "Sites" folder. When I try to access my joomla page using "http://localhost/~myaccountname/joomla", it shows an error page saying "Forbidden, You don't have permission to access /~myaccountname/joomla/ on this server".

Can you guys here help me please? I know joomla can easily be installed using mamp or xammp. But i don't want the easy way. I want to tweak things my self.

Thank you,

dara kok
