Favorite flatbed scanner for Text scanning?

I am looking at scanners right now with an interest in scanning many different types of text. Most of the scanners I have looked at seem to emphasize scanning photos and images.

I am looking for a flatbed scanner under $200 that scans text well and is fast.

Any suggestions?

OCR is not my primary interest. I am looking to quickly scan text from books and create PDFs from the images.
