Hi,

I have a MBP i7.

I'm pretty sure I was able to charge the iPhone when my macbook sleeping both on battery and plugged in.

But now I can only do that when it's plugged in.

Any suggestion how can I charge the iPhone with the macbook sleeping on its battery?

Thank you.

Why do you want to sleep the MBP on battery? Or is there no power plug in sight to let it sleep plugged into it?
There is no damage letting it sleep with a power adapter providing the power.

Just make sure to calibrate the battery regularly.

Yah I don't have a power point around here and I want to charge the iPhone but don't want to use the Macbook anymore...

If you plug it in before you close the lid it will charge without the charger.

At least my 13.3 does it that way
