So about three months ago my iMac was getting the white screen of death and crashing in both OS X (latest version of Snow Leopard) as well as Windows (Vista 32).

I took it in since it was under warranty and they replaced I believe the logic board and possibly the display itself. I believe it was a dead video card (8800 GS), who knows what else. It took them longer than expected they said they ran into issues.

So now here I am, only three months after this, and something is seriously wrong (been fine up until now) but it's acting different.

Before it would just white screen, now I get the following:

So far, strangely Windows works perfectly. Haven't gotten it to crash in Windows yet. OS X however upon boot starts hitching...it will freeze for 30 seconds at a time, then become usable again, the display will occasionally flicker, then it will black (sometimes white) screen and be dead. It lasts less than five minutes overall. What I've tried so far:

I unplugged it for hours then plugged it back in, didn't help. I also tried resetting the VRAM/PRAM or whatever and it didn't help.

And why the hell is Windows working OK? I have all the latest drivers/updates on both OS. Any help would be great.

EDIT: Just crashed in Windows with a blue screen citing Nvlddmkm.sys

Can I take this to apple care and have them give me an equivalent replacement with an ati card I've had nothing but issues with nvidia

Safe mode white screens also
