Just to mention, I don't use Google Calendar at all. I have no need to.

I've tried a few things to sync the iCal apps without plugging the phone in, but the instructions are all from 2007/2008 and nothing has worked so far.

Can anybody advise on what to do?

Thanks loads in advance :)

if you did use google calendar, it would allow GSync to do it all for you..

otherwise, i'm not sure there is a way to maintain synchronisation.

On my iPhone I set up a Gmail account, this is my main email account. If I go to settings > Mail> The account, I have the option to turn on Calendars, which I can only presume is syncing. Doing this has absolutely no effect on ANYTHING. I tried going to into Google calendars, refreshing, adding new tasks, whatever.

Any suggestions? Clearly I'm doing something wrong, or just not doing something right ;)
