I have a feeling that 4.1.1 is going to come out next week (possibly on the 8th).

The reason I suspect this is because 3.1 came out on Sept. 9th 2009 and then 3.1.2 came out Oct. 8th 2009.

Since 4.1 came out on Sept. 8th, I have a feeling that we'll see 4.1.1 in the first week of October 2010.

No new features, just bug fixes, performance fixes and stability fixes.

Good point but why bother when 4.2 is pretty close. If they do come out, I will buy you a virtual beer. :)

Thank you for this highly valuable information.

I don't think there is any rhyme or reason to the dates of 4.x.x releases. usually those releases are just because they have to fix a bug but who can predict a bug by date? plus 4.2 is coming soon.

There can be minor releases while another version is in beta testing.

Your think apple would really time update releases the same as every year? Hell no. I've had an iphone since the first week it launched and I've never seen a true pattern to their updates. The only pattern is, they develop and release updates when they are ready for public use, not because they have some imaginary deadline to meet.
