Element Vapor case in wood (hand made)

thought you might get a kick out of this :D
some of you know I like to make my own cases out of wood

as soon as I saw the metal vapor case I knew I would have to try to make it out of wood.
remember this is just a test, and just for fun,
I made some measurement errors, and the fit is a bit too spacious, and the overall too thin, but it seems to hold, the wood is strong enough not be break on the thin parts, even when some are more thin then they should be.
the parts will be held together with M2 brass screws

the next version will be better fitting and exact dimensions as the vapor case (just received mine)

Me too!! You are clearly very talented. What wood is it? Whilst I'm no carpenter, not sure of their ability to function as required, but Rose, Cherry or Walnut would be lovely I think. Thanks for shareing :)

probably not the best business plan to rip off another companies design and then sell it yourself.

especially broadcasting on an open webforum first how you copied the idea.

U can say copying. I see it as improving. As oppose to the signal eater vapor case. Props to ts.

Meh, he could make his own design. I'm pretty sure theres a loop hole in there somewhere. Anyways the guy has talent and a vapor-like wood bumper in different woods...oak, bamboo, etc..would give any aluminum case a run. I'd pay for one

definitely he could make his own design.

but selling this particular one, probably isn't the most rational idea.
 
Well the OP did state he's only copying the design for "fun". He made no mention of selling such an item or design. It's everyone else, foaming at the mouth, asking him to make more and sell it. It's made of wood and even if it was based upon the Element Vapor, the OP could just make some "adjustments" and say it was his own. If Element wanted to pursue something against the OP, they best pursue Atomic first, cuz Atomic's case is made out of Aluminum and looks like an exact replica of the Vapor!
