Hip Hop Production... Garageband to Logic

I make sampled hip hop beats in Garageband atm, I have logic xpress 9 but it turned out harder than I thought. In garageband to sample music, i would drag and drop the sample into Gb, chop it up, and drag each chop onto a key in musical typing. The same went for my custom drum kits i made... how do do this In logic, as well as any other tips for Logic hip hop production.

Logic has a steeper learning curve than GB, no doubt! Take a little time to learn it and the rewards can be awesome.
