iPhone 4 takes noisy photos!

Hi,
I'm new to this forum and this is my first post.

I have a iPhone 4 16GB Black.

In low light, WITHOUT flash, it takes photos so grainy.
A example photo attached.

Is it a normal thing, or how can i fix it.

Yes. Typical example of under exposure. Don't expect the simple little iPhone camera to do things it wasn't meant to.

I'd say in low light the iPhone automatically ups the ISO to 1600 or higher to enable a reasonable shutter speed...

This results in grainy photos...

If you were to adjust a Pro SLR to take photos without flash in similar lighting conditions they would appear grainy too...

i love the camera on the iphone 4 and yeah under these conditions its not best (it has to cram into 9.3mm of space you know!) but it does a great job in normal situations if your normal photos arent coming out right then theres something wrong with the camera i guess..
