Right, quick question... If i buy a Pay and Go iPhone 4 on Vodafone, as its locked, can i still put any Vodafone sim in, even tho its locked. As in, will i only be able to put in Pay as You Go Sims from Vodafone or can i put Monthly Sims in from Vodafone while its locked?

Cheers, urgent!

You can put any Vodafone sim card into it. It has to be a MicroSim though.

I believe the iPhone 4 is only unlocked if purchased from apple direct, any handsets bought from the network direct it will be locked and you would have to pay a fee (think it's £20) to unlock it officially, as for any sim card, no you cant put any sim in as the ip4 only takes micro sims be it payg or pay monthly. If your looking to use an existing normal sim you would need to cut it to size..... either google how to cut a sim or get a cutting tool specific to converting sim cards to micro sim

Vodafone will unlock it for free if you speak to the right person. :)

He's not asking about unlocking it. Hes asking about buying it PAYG, and using a contract sim card from the same network with it.

Thanks for making the point clear! :D Also, im getting an iPhone from Vodafone for free as part of business rules and do you think i would be allowed to unlock the phone if Vodafone gave me the iPhone 4 for free. I mean like, would they know and would it be dis-respectable (if you know what i mean).
