I was going to sell my unlocked iPhone 3G so I could sell it locally, then buy an iPhone 4. My friend accidentally upgraded me to 4.1, then, I went back to 3.1.3, but the damage was done....

Baseband: 5.14.02
Bootloader: 5.09
non-unlockable

...so, as an alternative, I was just going to sell my mom's iPhone 3G instead, it is jailbrakable and unlockable... but her power/lock button does not work (I've researched tons of solutions to this on google/youtube, none work). Since that button on her phone doesnt work, I cannot unlock to sell hers either.

FML

i suppose i have joined the ranks to wait for dev-team's upgraded ultrasn0w release. Just wanted to share my story, and wondered if anyone else had another one similar.

That sucks.
You gotta be carefull with what version of firmware you update or restore cause it could lock out from a JB, unlock or both.
Not much you can do about the broken power button but repair it or leave it as is and sell it.

You could try to fix the buttons? As in like a hardware fix?

Though that's quite fidgetty...so it remains a matter for you.

Good luck.
