I had an iPhone with 4.0.1 jail broken and unlocked with ulstrasnow. The phone crashed and I didn't have it backed up on cydia so I had to restore to 4.1 which updated my baseband. I just did the limera1n JB and installed ultrasnow. How do I know if it succeded or failed? It shows that it's installing then says restart spring board. After that, nothing.

If you restored to 4.1 without using Tiny Umbrella to preserve your baseband, your unlock is gone. 4.1 updates the baseband to one that currently cannot be unlocked, and there is no ETA on a new unlock.

iPhone3GS & iPhone4 ultrasn0w unlockers: stay away from today's limera1n. Wait for PwnageTool, else you'll lose unlock

I guess you could always check to see if you can use your network..... not that ultrasn0w would work with your new baseband....

What network are you on, anyway? Did you have an ATT sim ready so you could activate the phone to begin with?

I am on AT&T. I don't have a TMobile SIM to test if it is unlocked or not.

Click settings, General, About. And tell us your Modem Firmware at the bottom. If it's 1.59.00, you can unlock. If it's anything else, you're out of luck for the time being, possibly forever.
