Birthday app with notes field for each one?

I used to use the notes field for birthday gift ideas for that person. Any idea of an app/way to use an existing thing on ipod touch for that purpose?

There appears a nice iPhone/iPad/iPad app - ThankYouPen http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/thank-you-pen/id432528350?mt=8

It sends handwritten (not e-card!) letters/cards. You type your message and post team physically handwrites a message, address the envelope and mail it to the recipient.

Also has holiday/birthday reminder built-in.
